S.E.A. Composite PU College had the privilege of hosting Smt. Poornima Srinivas, CEO, S.E.A. Group of Institutions and Ex-MLA, Hiriyur Constituency, Govt. of Karnataka, for an important address to our II PUC students on 6th July 2025.

The session focused on setting clear expectations for the academic year and reinforcing the foundation of discipline, academics, and overall personality development.

Address on Discipline and Quality Education

In her interaction, Smt. Poornima Srinivas emphasized that a disciplined life is the foundation for quality education and holistic growth. She spoke to students about the importance of maintaining high standards in academics, skill development, cultural participation, and sports.

Her message was clear: success in academics and life comes from self-discipline, punctuality, and respect for institutional values.

Key Instructions for Students

To ensure a uniform and focused learning environment, the following guidelines were reiterated:

Uniform & Grooming

  • Uniform: Pants must not be altered into pencil-cut fashion. The prescribed uniform must be worn with dignity.
  • Footwear: All students, boys and girls, must wear proper formal black shoes with black socks.

Grooming

  • Boys must maintain a proper shave and decent haircut.
  • Girls must keep their hair neatly combed and tied back.

Students were advised to take note of these standards and help peers maintain them.

In line with government rules, students below 18 years of age are strictly prohibited from bringing bikes to college as they do not possess a valid license. Strict disciplinary action will be taken. Bike keys will not be returned under any circumstances.

Ma’am strongly advised students to avoid mobile phone usage on campus during academic hours. She highlighted that excessive use leads to distraction and takes away valuable time from studies and skill-building.

The session also included an open interaction where Mrs. Poornima took feedback from students on various aspects of campus life. She assured that the management will address genuine concerns and work toward continuous improvement.

The visit concluded with Smt. Poornima Srinivas reiterating that discipline and quality education must go hand in hand. Her guidance has set a clear roadmap for II PUC students as they prepare for board exams and competitive goals.
